Our Awarding Winning Gin
Its been a busy 12 months or so here at Organic Bay Distillery. We're still working fulltime as carpenters and focusing all our 'spare' time on our shared passion of creating unique and great tasting gin. Aside from getting great feedback from our amazing customers, we also enter our gins into various spirit competitions around Australia and now the world (IWSC London 2023), gaining invaluable feedback from the professionals in the industry. Along the way, we've been fortunate enough to win a few awards, which makes us feel very proud of what we've achieved and only pushes us to do bigger and better things. Not too bad for a couple of gin-loving chippies...

IWSC AWARDS, London
Late last year we sent off our Bonbeach Dry and our Raspberry & Aniseed to the IWSC awards, and managed to gain bronze awards for both of them. We are so proud of our achievement and thank the IWSC for taking the time to taste and judge them.
The IWSC (the International Wine and Spirits Competition) is a prestigious organisation that samples and judges the best wine and spirits from around the world.
As stated on their website:

Royal Melbourne Australian Distilled Spirit Awards
Across 11 categories, the 2022 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards attracted 863 Entries from 208 Exhibitors – with a record number of entries in the Whisky and Gin classes.
Melbourne Royal CEO, Brad Jenkins said, “The Australian Distilled Spirits Awards is regarded as Australia’s first and largest national award program that proudly recognises the long tradition of distilling in Australia, and the emergence of the new generation of spirits.”

The Melbourne International Spirits Competition was excited with the quality and number of submissions we received in our 9th year. Over 200 submissions from around the world were judged by our trade buyer judges remotely

AUSTRALIAN GIN AWARDS
These awards are run the by The Australian Gin Distillers Association with the aim to showcase the excellence of Australian and New Zealand gin and their respective distilleries.
The Assoication is also responsible for organising and running the gin festivals around Australia.
Organic Bay Distillery has participated in the 2022 Melbourne and Canberra Gin Festivals.
